Seeking an Office Manager for our Leadership Team!

Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is looking to add an Office Manager to the team at Ema!
Responsibilities will include processing of daily sales & accounts payable, payroll systems, cash handling, personnel files and general office administration including phones, and other duties as needed.   • 1+ years of accounting experience is preferred
  • Monday through Friday daytime availability; with flexibility for weekend shifts
  • Strong understanding of restaurant financial operations including profit & loss statement preparation, inventory, and payroll processing
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Skilled at multitasking with superior attention to detail
  • Ability to remain professional and organized in a high-volume environment

POSITION SUMMARY:   Responsible for all office functions at the restaurant level: accounting, personnel processing, payroll, benefits administration, office training, and other clerical miscellaneous duties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Other duties will be assigned as needed) Must be willing and able to do the following:
  • Become proficient in all accounting and financial procedures for the restaurant.
  • Process all invoices and bills in a timely manner according to standard operating procedures.
  • Count, balance and par banks accurately on a daily basis.
  • Process deposits and change orders accurately and according to procedure.
  • Process tip distributions and record keeping as required.
  • Ensure TRAC/TRDA compliance.
  • Process and maintain employees’ files.
  • Understand, process and maintain employee benefits.
  • Process and maintain all leaves of absence.
  • Maintain and keep the employee bulletin board compliant.
  • Handle all guest, vendor and employee calls, questions and issues.
  • Perform job functions of Host as needed.
  • Act as a specialist for Point of Sale system, Telnet, Lawson, Avero, Open Table, Kronos and all other information systems.
  • Accurately maintain all employee time records to ensure employees are paid appropriately and timely.
  • Interview, hire, train, supervise and develop a part-time or weekend office assistant(s).
  • Schedule, conduct and document employee performance review(s) for those assistants according to standard operating procedure.
  • Identify, address and document individual employee performance problems for those assistants according to standard operating procedure.  Discipline and/or terminate as necessary according to LEYE procedures.
  • Assist with Phase III training of all managers.
  • Assist with the office training of all Chefs, Sous Chefs and of KM’s.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (ie. Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Maintain upkeep and organization of office, supplies and equipment.
  • Understand and complete all duties and projects as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
  • Communicate cordially, effectively and clearly with all employees, managers and guests.
  • Communicate in English in order to comprehend and perform/follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
  • Perform more than one task at a time.
  • Maintain a positive, pleasant attitude every shift. 
  • Accept direction and constructive criticism from management.
  • Perform calmly and effectively in an extremely busy and stressful work environment.
  • Be able to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends and increased work schedules.
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels.
  • Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

GENERAL RULES Must be willing and able to do the following:
  • Get along with others and be a team player.
  • Follow all uniform and appearance guidelines as befitting the image of the restaurant for the duration of the shift.
  • Refrain from smoking for the duration of the shift.
  • Arrive to work on time and in ready to work condition.
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • May not work under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs.
  • May not resort to any type of violence, discriminatory or harassing behavior.
  • Must successfully pass a drug and alcohol test within 90 days of hire date, where applicable.

Failure to abide by these and any other conditions of employment of the company set forth elsewhere can subject an employee to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
