Join Our Corporate Team!Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is seeking a POS ANALYST. This field position will be part of our IT team which supports 100+ onsite and offsite locations in 8 states. Responsibilities will include installing, repairing, and supporting of point of sale products while providing excellent customer service to our teams as well as creating/analyzing reports. Our ideal candidate will be a dedicated, high-energy person who is eager to grow with our team.This field position requires 75% local Chicago travel. Candidates will commute to multiple locations in the Chicago area (city and suburban) and must be extremely flexible with scheduling, including weekend on-call availability. REQUIREMENTS
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Experience with troubleshooting POS systems
  • Provide phone support to customers and technicians
  • Ability to make arrangements for equipment to client site or for repair
  • Open availability for scheduling including weekend on-call availability
  • Ability to commute using employee-provided vehicle to multiple locations in a timely manner, frequently transporting, lifting & loading equipment up to 50 lbs (NOTE: Field position with up to 90% travel – both Chicago city/suburban and out-of-state.)

POSITION SUMMARY:  Program, analyze, install, support, and repair point of sale systems while providing excellent customer service to all Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Other duties will be assigned as needed)Must be willing and able to do the following: 
  • Communicate effectively with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Complete programming requests for all locations including, but not limited to, menu items, service charges, tracking and reporting, discounts, touchscreens, etc. 
  • Install and/or update third party interfaces such as loyalty, gift cards, mobile apps, employee discount cards, online ordering, etc.
  • Accurate documentation including preparation of training outlines, of LEYE specific databases and report packages, based on specifications and established standards.
  • Analyze centrally developed Lettuce Entertain You-specific databases, reports, documentation, and related applications with POS Systems Manager as required to ensure that all LEYE requirements are met prior to system installation.
  • Modify computer database, related reports, and documentation as required to further prepare and ready the system for installation.
  • Consult and provide exceptional customer service to all Partners and General Managers to determine and review hardware, software, or system functional specifications and obtain initial sign-offs prior to system installation. 
  • Conduct End-User staff and/or management training, which will include staging and set up/breakdown of equipment, to ensure a smooth installation process and minimize post-installation support requirements.
  • Provide live support coverage at new sites on and after the system live date to ensure a smooth transition to their new system and minimize post-installation support requirements.
  • Set-up, repair, installation and reprogramming of equipment and/or software
  • Provide phone support to customers and technicians.
  • Make shipping arrangements for equipment to client site or for repair.
  • Examine mechanical assemblies such as printing mechanisms, counters, and keyboards, for worn or damaged parts.
  • Replace defective parts.
  • Test electrical control units, wiring, and motors.
  • Clean and oil moving parts.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally up to 90% for field work.
  • Communicate cordially, effectively and clearly with all employees, managers, partners, corporate staff and coworkers.
  • Communicate in English in order to comprehend and perform/follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
  • Perform more than one task at a time.
  • Maintain a positive pleasant, attitude every shift.
  • Accept direction and constructive criticism from management.
  • Perform calmly and effectively in an extremely busy and stressful work environment.
  • Be available to work a variety of days and shifts, including weekends and increased work schedules.
