The LEYE Recruiting team is looking for a friendly, caring person to provide general recruitment and administrative support. Superior communication skills are essential for this full-time, entry-level Recruiting Assistant role: you’ll develop and post hiring ads, communicate with restaurant managers regarding ad requests, work with team members on recruitment initiatives, and handle all general phone and email inquiries for the department.

  • 2-3 years in the restaurant industry preferred
  • Skilled in written/verbal communication including a warm phone presence
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests while easily adapting to changing needs
  • Ability to work efficiently with an excellent attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel 
  • Ability to maintain a caring, positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Spanish Language skills (spoken or written) are a plus.

Job Summary
Provides administrative support to the Recruiting team including but not limited to posting recruitment ads, using applicant tracking systems (ATS), assisting in recruitment initiatives and programs, and supporting the restaurants in their hourly recruitment needs.
Essential Functions
  • Develop, edit, post and submit hiring ads as part of the Recruiting support team, including but not limited to online job boards, social sites, internal memos and print publications
  • Support recruitment projects and initiatives as directed including but not limited to the J-1 Summer Work and Travel program, workforce agencies, increasing employment brand awareness in all LEYE markets, networking and building professional relationships, and career fairs and hiring events
  • Assist in Recruiting administrative functions as directed including but not limited to processing invoices and allocations, administering the referral bonus program, processing background checks and researching new recruitment solutions 
  • Proficiently use recruitment applicant tracking systems (ATS) including but not limited to opening requisitions and posting integrated recruitment ads 
  • Receive, respond to and direct incoming Recruiting communications including but not limited to emails and calls from candidates, guests, vendors, employees and the Corporate teams; and support HR communications as needed
  • Greet guests in the Human Resources office and notify proper party of visitors
  • File online and hard copy documents related to the recruiting lifecycle on a weekly, monthly and/or annual basis 
  • Assist the Director of Recruiting and the Recruiting team with special projects
  • Attend local and out of town recruiting events as needed, including but not limited to career fairs, school visits and LEYE internship events 
  • Available to perform duties outside standard business hours on occasion as needed, including evenings and weekends 
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and office equipment 
  • Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment 
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable light, noise and temperature levels
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Build professional relationships with industry and community groups, individual contacts, association memberships, and employees 
  • Assist with the Summer Internship Program as needed 
  • Contribute to team recruitment efforts on as needed 
  • Provide backup for LEYE receptionist as needed
  • Proficiently use and operate ATS and Microsoft Word and Excel programs
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook 
  • Get along well with others and act as a team player 
  • Other duties assigned as needed
