The LEYE Recruiting team is adding a Recruiter to support our restaurants in their hourly recruitment and hiring.

As the Recruiter for Hourly Hiring, you’ll work with restaurant management as well as the Corporate Recruiting team to monitor staffing levels and provide both creative and traditional solutions to attract and maintain top talent. Restaurant industry and recruitment/talent acquisition experience is required.

Our ideal candidate will have:
  • 1-2 years hiring/recruiting experience
  • 2-3 years in the restaurant industry; management experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests while easily adapting to changing needs
  • Friendly, flexible and positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written/verbal) and comfortably interact with all levels of hiring managers with a variety of communication styles
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Internet-based programs 
Spanish Language skills (spoken or written) are a plus.

Summary: Support the restaurants’ hourly recruitment needs and hiring processes in partnership with restaurant management and Corporate Recruiting teams; and provide recruitment strategies to attract, build and maintain a diverse pool of top talent.
 
  • Monitor, identify and respond to hourly restaurant staffing levels, providing creative recruitment strategies and best practices to attract, build and maintain a diverse pool of qualified applicants
  • Support restaurants and new openings as needed including but not limited to screening, interviewing (via phone, video technology or in person), presenting qualified candidates, supporting hiring managers’ interview logistics, administering background and reference checks, and onboarding candidates 
  • Promote LEYE employment brand by modeling our core philosophies; highlighting our culture, benefits and opportunities; and caring for every candidate as we do ourselves, our guests and each other 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers throughout the recruitment and hiring process to ensure a superior candidate experience, including but not limited to prompt and effective communication with candidates
  • Effectively utilize the hourly and salaried Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to support recruitment efforts; train managers to use ATS; respond to ATS questions/concerns from management and candidates; and identify, recommend and implement improvements to recruitment processes (including ATS-related)
  • Monitor, track and enforce compliance with all steps of standard recruitment and hiring processes and record-keeping
  • Track, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics to evaluate effectiveness of recruiting sources and social media/digital campaigns, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Available to work a variety of days and times, including weekends and overnight travel as required 
  • Proficiently use and operate all necessary tools and equipment including MS Word and Excel 
  • Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment 
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable light, noise and temperature levels
  • Ability to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
     
Key Responsibilities and Duties 
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of job responsibilities and benefit packages for non-exempt employees 
  • Assist in the sourcing of potential partnerships including but not limited to organizations, schools and vendors to strengthen recruitment, candidate pools, and hiring practices 
  • Represent Company at local and out-of-town recruiting events, including but not limited to job fairs, schools, and community and workforce agencies
  • Develop and maintain strong partner and manager relationships through proactive communication and strong follow-through
  • Work with Recruiting team to create and implement long-term strategic engagement plans that build and reinforce awareness of the LEYE employment brand across LEYE communities in all geographic markets
  • Collaborate with Recruiting team in creating social media recruiting strategies for use on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. using working knowledge of social media platforms 
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and office equipment
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Get along well with others and be a team player
